National Certificate in Dental Nursing
National Certificate in Dental Nursing is a 2 year course on a full time basis and students are required to fulfil a 16 hour of daytime study in a week. This course is structured into two section i.e. Theory Section and Practical Section.
The theory section covers one year of study within the college while 24 months of practical work has to be fulfilled in practical section.
At the end of the first year, students will be required to sit for an examination whch will be set by National Examination Board for Dental Nursing and National Certificate in Dental Nursing will be obtained upon completion of the 2 nd year.
The examination consist of written, oral and practical which will be written same day at different examination centre. Examinations are held twice annually (i.e. May & November) and students are required to pay their examination fees.
National Certificate in Dental Nursing fee is £3000 per year in which students are allowed to pay a deposit of £1500.

Training
The course is a full time course covering both Practical work and Theory. Students will have to join a dental practice as trainees and then receive on-the-job training from their employer accredited to the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). Our day release classes that are held at the college every week supplement practical work gained in work. A NEBDN certificate will be gained after 2 years of work and study.
Examinations
The National Examining Board sets the National Certificate Examination for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). The exam consists of written, oral and practical sections and it takes place in the same day at different exam centres.
The exam is held every year in May and November. There is an examination fee that every candidate will have to pay. This amount will differ from year to year.
Entry Requirements
There are no set academic qualifications although GCSEs/Equivalent grades in English and a science can be an advantage.
Course Fees
The course fee is £3000 per year. A deposit of £1500 is required before the course commences. The balance of the fees will be paid in monthly instalments.

- Orthodontic Nursing
- Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapy.
